Dog walker votes: BEST leash ever, holds up to everything

I walk several dogs a day, this is comfortable, handles exquisitely, and wipes easily. It has been through mud, poop, brambles, dust, been peed on, pooped on and wipes clean with a wipe… and a few times a year I soak it in mild soapy water for a couple of hours and wipe dry… it looks almost new, and it is a teal color. Mine is 16 feet and I find that I don’t have pulling problems with the longer length. One note I would make is that I had a traffic handle put on at 2 feet, thinking that it would help at curbside. The material of these leashes handles so well that a creating a loop as needed is adequate without a built in handle … and also some of my client dogs are of a height that they step in the loop when it drags. If I had it to do over again I would bypass the traffic handle…( but if I was just walking my dog, it is a nice addition.) I have used the leash for over a year and a half now, walks are in the thousands, and love it every day I use it.
I hate the way cotton sucks the moisture out of my hand and absorbs pee and dirt…& although I love to handle leather, it would not hold up to the dirt and weather the way this does. AND btw all biothane is not the same, these leashes are WAY above every other that I have come across.
Well worth all of it!

Mostly positive one regret

We bought the 10 ft biothane with the standard handle and the traffic handle 24 inches. The line is great stays clean is light weight to hold. Very strong. Our only complaint is the traffic handle placed 24 inches hangs down and our dog keeps getting her hind foot caught in it. Using as a long line to train recalls is dangerous because as she runs to us or walks her hind foot catches in the loop and hamstrings her. I wish I could get the traffic handle off without weakening the line itself.

I imagine she’s tall and the 24” is JUST the wrong length for a traffic handle! We’ve been working to offer security with less cumbersome options, like our innovative “knot” — https://www.trailblazingtails.com/products/the-not-a-knot. We offer the addition of a “knot' to any leash, but this particular leash is becoming the favorite!

We love the crossbody leash! It is simple, high quality materials, and a great design. There are not all the unnecessary bells and whistles of the competitors. Love the knot placed 24” from the clasp…genius! We got the 8ft one because we felt the 6ft would be a little too short for how we wanted to use it. We really felt that 7ft would have been perfect and after having the 8ft one, I feel it is a little too long, but we are managing. I wish 7ft would have been an option.

All in all, we love it. Makes walking so nice and hands free!
